In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old man, Jose Natan Carvalho, has been arrested for murdering his mother, Sandra Maria dos Santos Carvalho, as part of a “black magic” ritual.

Sandra Maria’s body was discovered at her home in Salvador, Brazil, with multiple stab wounds and her hand severed. Her son confessed to the crime in court, admitting that he had stabbed his mother’s neck and amputated her hand with a knife.

Appallingly, Carvalho’s motive for the brutal act was to obtain access to his mother’s bank account using her fingerprints. Judge Leandro Florencio Rocha de Araujo stated that Carvalho had alleged performing a black magic ritual against his mother, who he claimed had previously performed one against him.

Sandra Maria’s body was found covered in a sheet and towel in the Boca da Mata de Valeria neighborhood. Police were alerted by Carvalho’s cousin, who visited the family home and noticed a strong odor. Authorities believe the victim had been killed days earlier, as her body had begun to decompose.

The case is currently under investigation by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) of Salvador. Judge Araujo has referred Carvalho to the Health Care Network (RAS) and Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) for further evaluation. CONTINUE READING
