Mr. Kenneth, a 60-year-old man from Nza Ozubulu, Anambra State, has succumbed to his injuries after being subjected to severe flogging. Eyewitness accounts indicate that Kenneth was allegedly beaten by a vigilante group for selling a water tank from his family home and using the proceeds to address family matters.
According to available information, Kenneth’s younger brother is believed to have instigated his arrest and subsequent punishment by the vigilante group. A viral video circulating on social media depicts the vigilante members mercilessly flogging Kenneth with a cutlass, causing him immense pain and agony.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage among Nigerians, who have taken to social media to demand justice for Kenneth. They have condemned the cruel and inhumane treatment inflicted upon him and have called on the Anambra State Governor and the Nigeria Police Force to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.
