Condemning the move, Basiru asserted that he remains the acting National Chairman pending the outcome of a legal challenge to Ganduje’s suspension.

Speaking at an APC meeting in Osun Central Senatorial District, Basiru criticized Kwankwaso for interfering in APC’s internal affairs.

“This so-called suspension is a mockery orchestrated by Kwankwaso and his moribund political party,” Basiru stated. “It has no basis in our party’s constitution or legal framework.”

Basiru highlighted that the Kano High Court had lifted the initial injunction against Ganduje’s suspension. Additionally, he noted that a Federal High Court had ordered that the position of National Chairman remain vacant until the case is resolved.

“Furthermore, the authentic ward executive of the party has filed a complaint with the Inspector General of Police regarding the forgery and impersonation committed by those involved in this charade,” Basiru added.

“Even the so-called spokesperson for the purported suspension is actively seeking a councilorship position. This is a clear indication of the desperation and absurdity of this attempt to discredit our party,” he concluded. CONTINUE READING
