In response to pressing concerns affecting the union, the University of Abuja chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has initiated an indefinite strike. The decision was announced on Thursday following a congress held at the institution’s Permanent Site.

Dr. Sylvanus Ugoh, branch chairman, confirmed the strike action in an interview with Akelicious. He stated that the union had unanimously resolved to embark on an immediate and comprehensive strike.
