TYSON FURY has been warned he better have his “s*** together” if he’s to have any chance of beating Oleksandr Usyk.

The Gypsy King will look to follow in the footsteps of Lennox Lewis on Saturday night and become undisputed heavyweight champion when he locks horns with the undefeated Ukrainian.

Fury’s legacy-defining fight comes a mere four months after he was embarrassed by boxing novice Francis Ngannou.

The former UFC heavyweight champion put Fury on the canvas in the third round of their controversial crossover clash, which he lost via a narrow split decision verdict.

Fury’s preparations for the Saudi showdown were branded a “circus” by his dad John, who feared it may bleed into his preparations for Usyk.

And John’s stark admission prompted a stern message to Tyson from former cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson.

The 57-year-old told ProBoxingFans: “It’s time, you can’t do nothing about that.

“It might not be popular to say it but if his own pops is saying it.

“And one thing I will say about John Fury, is that he will always speak the truth.

“He’s a straight-talking man. If he’s saying it you have to listen to him.

“But Tyson Fury, if he puts his s*** together, he still beats everybody.

“His last performance, if he’s honest about what he said, then his legs are gone. If he wasn’t honest, I think he can turn it around.”

Fury’s crossover clash with Ngannou was meant to be a showcase of his skills but it turned out to almost be the mother of all upsets.

The damage sustained over the ten rounds in Riyadh forced the historic title unification to be delayed until February 17.

But it ended up being postponed until May 18 after Fury suffered a horror cut in training.

And Nelson predicted a second postponement after learning of John’s concerns.

He said: “If he doesn’t fight February 17 then we have a problem.

“Because if his dad’s saying it now, it gives you a sense there might be a delay, they might want more time.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to push it down the line a bit.”
