Early recap from SunSport’s Wally Downes Jr

Isaac Lowe – the pocket-pest friend of Tyson Fury opened the Riyadh show with a trademark points win over Hasibullah Ahmadi.

The Westgate Warrior dropped his opponent in round eight and won with the referee’s card of 97-92.

Daniel Lapin, the beanpole training partner of Oleksandr Usyk also had his hand raised – winning in the very first round of a largely pointless contest.

The gangly light-heavy whacked the oxygen out of Octavio Pudivitr before the ‘contest’ even got going.

And David ‘Nice Guy’ Nyika needed four rounds to finish German cruiserweight rival Michael Seltz.

His PG nickname won’t win him any fights but his height, speed and power will help him race up the rankings.

Handsome lad too, and I should know.

Nelson predicts Fury may retire

Johnny Nelson MBE has told BetVictor he believes Tyson Fury could quit boxing if he’s beaten by Oleksandr Usyk.

“If it’s a bad, devastating loss, Tyson Fury walks away,” he said.

“Tyson is an emotional animal. A bad loss to Oleksandr Usyk will destroy Tyson.

“Tyson is the boss of his team. Frank Warren doesn’t tell Tyson what to do.

“He has made a lot of money, but he’ll be frustrated with himself if he loses to Usyk on Saturday night. It will break him, it will break his heart.”

Fury’s tactics

Has Tyson Fury revealed how he’s going to beat Oleksandr Usyk?

He revealed:

It’s our destiny. They didn’t have the opportunity, we do. All we have to do now is dance.

“I look forward to the challenge. I can outbox him, I’m a very good boxer, but I don’t really use it anymore. I can do the same [as I did vs Klitschko] to him.”
