Competing with other premium products, Delta Air Lines is ready to welcome premium cabin guests at their 39,000-square-foot Delta One lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport
Travelers going abroad or returning home in Delta’s business cabin now have a new haven between flights at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
The Atlanta-based airline is opening their first Delta One lounge at the New York airport on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Delta One Lounge Features Fine Dining, Spa Treatment, and More
When the Delta One lounge opens, it will only be open to a select group of travelers transiting through John F. Kennedy International Airport. Flyers who are traveling on a Delta One ticket, Delta 360 members in first class, and first and business class travelers aboard Air France, LATAM, KLM, Korean Air, and Virgin Atlantic will all be able to access the lounge. Flyers with a Sky Club membership or a credit card offering lounge access will not be able to visit the space.
Inspired by the variety of designs across Manhattan, the lounge is full of subtle nods to the Big Apple. The centerpiece of the lounge is the premium bar, featuring an Art Deco-inspired lighting fixture paying homage to the gold leaf ceiling and chandeliers of Radio City Music Hall.
The Market dining area is designed like a New York brasserie, offering flyers the chance to get a bite before their flight.
Flyers can also choose to dine in the 140-seat Brasserie restaurant, offering three-course meals. Some of the dishes available include Hamachi crudo, steak tartare and lasagna Bolognese.
The lounge space itself reflects the carrier’s partnership with Missoni, found in everything from the accent pillows and coffee table books in the seating area. Flyers who want another level of relaxation can visit the designated wellness area, featuring relaxation pods with full-body massage chairs and treatments from Grown-Alchemist certified therapists.
Finally, the indoor terrace allows travelers to relax in a space inspired by nature. The space has plenty of greenery and a retractable roof, making it available every day of the year.
The Delta One lounge is the first of three the airline is opening, with the other spaces coming soon to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). After opening day, the lounge will be open daily from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
