This week’s retro trailer is for the 1990 dystopian action film Prayer of the Rollerboys, which stars Corey Haim. It’s crazy that I remember seeing this movie when it first came out because it was so bad.

The story is set in a near-future America ravaged by economic collapse and social decay. It follows Griffin, a young rollerblader, who navigates a chaotic urban landscape where violent gangs and corrupt officials hold power.

The Rollerboys, a gang led by the charismatic yet dangerous Gary Lee, promise protection and prosperity to their followers but hide sinister intentions beneath their utopian facade.

When Griffin’s younger brother, Miltie, becomes enamored with the Rollerboys’ promises, Griffin finds himself entangled in their world, torn between his desire to protect his brother and his moral objections to the gang’s methods.

As Griffin infiltrates the Rollerboys to gather evidence of their criminal activities for the police, he discovers a plot far more insidious than he imagined. The gang’s true aim is to distribute a drug that sterilizes users, a plan designed to control the population and secure their dominance.

Griffin’s undercover mission becomes a race against time to expose the truth and dismantle the Rollerboys’ operation from within.

Enjoy the trailer!
