Actor Danny Trejo lost his cool during a 4th of July parade in Sunland-Tujunga, California on Thursday after being repeatedly pelted by water balloons.

Video of the incident obtained by TMZ shows Trejo riding shotgun in a convertible when he is struck by the first water balloon, prompting him to get out of the car and confront the alleged assailant. The video shows Trejo walking straight up the individual and punching him before being knocked to the ground himself. Trejo quickly gets up and grabs a folding chair, which he seems intent to throw at the individual, but a larger group of people get involved and the whole scene turns pretty chaotic. At one point, Trejo even gets hit with another water balloon.

According to TMZ, police responded to the incident and dispersed the crowd without making any arrests. Reached for comment, Trejo said the people who threw the balloons were “cowards,” but expressed remorse for his role in the incident.

Not to defend Trejo’s actions, but earlier this week the actor announced the passing of his beloved chihuahua, Dixie, so he was probably already on edge before the water balloons started flying.
