To garner some inspo, I found this beautiful and also quite luxurious apartment in New York City. It’s located in Chelsea and costs $1.4 million. Though it may be considered cheap by New York standards, to the average person, this is still insanely pricey, especially for an apartment. We are simply using this apartment as a “dupe” to the one in Paris to show how you can recreate the design and style of it without the hefty price tag. I chose three main rooms to compare and show how you can achieve this modern luxury Parisian home.

Both these apartments’ living rooms have huge windows with lots of natural light. Placing the couch facing away from the big windows allows for a naturally bright room without blinding your eyes. The curved white couch is a staple to the look of the living room. It adds a sense of modernity to the already luxurious apartment. Both apartments, though in very different price ranges, have done a beautiful job using the white couches to reflect light into the room, making it look more spacious. The round coffee table matches the vibe of the couch perfectly, creating harmony within the room. You don’t need much to achieve this look, especially if you already have big windows and lots of natural light in your living room. To recreate this living room look and vibe, here’s what I suggest:

The Parisian apartment on the right offers more kitchen space than the NYC one to fit a full dining table with chairs. The great thing about the New York apartment though is that it comes with a little breakfast nook so you may not even need a full dining table and chair set. If you’re working with less space than what this Parisian apartment is showing, try getting a smaller dining table and fewer chairs. There are many ways to go about this but here is what I’m suggesting:

Similar to the living room, both these apartments also have lots of big windows and natural light coming into the bedroom. Both these rooms also have a small nook. In the NYC apartment, there’s a small nook where the head of the bed is, and it comes with some quite helpful storage space. In the Parisian apartment, there’s a nook with enough room to fit a sofa and create a mini living room bedroom hybrid. To recreate this setup (whether your bedroom has a nook space or not) here’s what I’ve come up with:

As you can see, recreating the look and feel of living in a $9 million apartment in Paris is fairly easy (even if we don’t have that much to spend). It truly is all about finding the right furniture to create the perfect ambiance and atmosphere that makes living in your apartment feel more luxurious and expensive.
