Eighteen travel tech startups have been selected for the finals of
the 2024 Global Startup Pitch. The competition, in its third year, is jointly produced by WiT
and Phocuswright. It will be held August 15.

Judges selected these startups from a crop of nearly 200 entries
received for the global competition that aims to discover the best travel
startups across four regions of the world.

As with previous years, Phocuswright and WiT have created an
additional Wildcards category to surface startups addressing ideas that are
particularly global, future-oriented, hard to solve and that attack
next-generation challenges. This year, in addition to the regional finalists,
we selected two promising startups focused on revolutionizing the
in-destination experience.

The format has been refreshed for 2024 with two key objectives – to
recognize scaling startups and to discover seed stage, emerging companies. The
definitions are as follows:

  • Seedup: Companies
under three years that have raised no more than $5 million.
  • Scaleup: Companies
from three to eight years that have raised no more than $10 million.

Seedups
will compete against Seedups and Scaleups against Scaleups for each region.
Judges will choose winners in each category from the various regions during the
August virtual event. The winners will travel to Singapore for showcase
presentations at WiT Singapore, Oct 14-16.

The audience at WiT Singapore will vote for their favorite Seedup
and Scaleup, and the People’s Choice winners will be showcased at The Phocuswright Conference, November 19-21, in Phoenix and WiT Korea,
November 26-27, in Seoul.

Here are the finalist participants:

APAC

Europe
