Happy Sunday everyone! It’s the last official month of summer so we are attempting to soak in every last minute of it while we can. We won’t keep you here long today so can too! Enjoy your Sunday and don’t worry, we have some very fun posts for you coming up this week. Ok, let’s get to the links:)

This week’s house tour is DREAMY but was designed by none other than Athena Calderone and Jeremiah Brent so no surprise there. Jess slacked the team when she first saw it and said it looked like their interpretation of a Nancy Meyers’ home. It’s actually pretty funny how much that style has been coming up lately on our site! First Arlyn, then Orlando’s kitchen. Also please peep the fabric pendant in the sunroom. We told you it’s a trend🙂 There are almost too many treasures (THE SHOWER for one) so go indulge yourself.

From Emily: Two awesome summer movies to see in the theaters. 1. We took the kids to Twisters and LOVED IT. Such a wild fun ride, so well done, and have our new crushes starring in it, Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar Jones. Sure, they are now terrified of tornadoes, but we don’t live in tornado country so I think it’s fine (but maybe don’t take your kids if you deal with them and probably the reason I’ll never knowingly let them watch the big earthquake movie with The Rock about how Oregon is on a huge fault line). But don’t rent it – go to the theater if you can. It’s educational too (ish) and made learning about weather really interesting if you like to nerd out about that. 2. Then on Thursday my best friend and I just went to It Ends With Us (we’ve both read both Colleen Hoover books) and y’all I don’t know how they did it, but we had no notes. It’s not that it’s a perfect plot or movie, but it just could have been bad as so many emo-drama-romance movies have been (typically like them anyway, lol). It was just perfectly executed with a great cast that had steamy chemistry, cool production design, and great direction. We laughed, we cried (A LOT), and it didn’t diverge from the book! (Colleen Hoover purists can’t even be mad! – although she was an EP on it, which was helpful). I’m hoping (BADLY) that it kills it in the box office, greenlighting more of these movies, disrupting Hollywood which is full of dude executives who think these movies are lame and, like the publishing industry, re-ignites a genre that has been made fun of. ROMANCE DRAMAS AND ROM COMS ARE PEOPLE TOO!! (and if you don’t know about the disruption in the publishing industry – of which I’ve been involved in what with my many posts about these books and Kindle purchase inventory, look it up. Romance novels have SAVED the book publishing industry and it’s ALLLLLL BY WOMENNNNN (mostly, of course)). Anyway, I’d watch it again (and will). Text your girlfriends and go to It Ends With Us THIS WEEKEND!!

From Gretchen: My sweet friend, Annie, is visiting from out of town and it’s been so lovely having her around! She is not only the queen of shopping–always hitting me up with new suggestions or products that have changed her life–but this week she has been teaching me all about her curly hair routine and the products I need to achieve it myself. For a while now I’ve been thinking that the slight wave to my hair when I’m fresh out of the shower (that inevitably falls flat) could be a sign that I have some curl to my hair. Problem is, I have no education on how to hold onto that wave. Annie is blessed with perfect curls and has honed them with her tried and true routine. With her awesome products, we discovered that I TOO CAN HAVE WAVES THAT LAST ALL DAY!! Knowing that I can scrunch my hair into a wave so flowy, so beachy, so NATURAL, feels so good. And knowing I can revive it the next day with just water and a dab of product? Unreal. Basically, when I’m fresh out of the shower, I gently towel-dry my hair, making sure it’s still wet but not sopping. Then I scrunch it with about a quarter-sized dollop of this miracle BB curl defining cream. The wave forms and looks great, but the best way to guarantee it is to diffuse it. Annie had me SPOILED (and sold) with her Dyson hair dryer with diffuser attachment. It worked like a charm–my waves held on through the next day and all it took was a slight wetting and the tiniest bit more product to re-shape it. Sometimes I would put in too much, leaving it with a slight crunch, but Annie says the tiniest bit of this argan oil will take that right out. Now please excuse me while I go work on my “scrunch” technique and stare at my new luscious locks!

From Jess: So after we did our fun try-on session at Abercrombie this past week, we hopped on over to Mango and I found not only a great, long throw-on-and-go dress I potentially haven’t taken off for 3 days but it was on sale! Like a great one! It was $40, I sized up so it was a little roomier, and the pattern/material makes me feel fun and stylish. I actually wearing it as I’m typing this. Oh, and it’s so comfortable! It’s admittable a little on the summery side but the weather is still very warm and it’s going to be a keeper for many years to come.

Also From Jess: If I had a dog these would be the poop bags I would buy! I saw them on TikTok and they are so cute and totally compostable (plus don’t have an inner core for even less waste).

From Arlyn: Before summer ends and the tomatoes and stone fruit go back into hibernation, PLEASE I BEG YOU MAKE THIS SALAD! I love Meg from Ain’t Too Proud to Meg and all her creations but this one—with its cherries, heirloom tomatoes, burrata, peaches, and basil—was a hit with the whole family. I took some liberties by adding a shower of white balsamic vinegar but I bet it would be great no matter what. I bought a load of sliced French bread at Trader Joe’s that I fried a bit in a skillet with some oil but grilled bread would probably be even better.

From Mallory: I’m setting up my new apartment and splurged on these amazing pillowcases that are incredible for your skin and hair – I bleach my hair…a lot and so it’s made a huge difference having my hair slide against the pillow and not break!! Plus silk pillowcases are supposed to help with wrinkles over time so I was very sold. On top of all of the beauty benefits it’s also just very very comfy and feels luxurious to slip into your sheets and rest your head on this fancy lil pillowcase. Highly recommend if you want to up your sleep game:)

From Caitlin: One of my lifelong best friends, Mike, is an incredibly talented cinematographer who just landed his first-ever VMA nomination! He’s up against some stiff competition (including Billie Eilish and Coldplay, NBD) but I think the video he shot, Best for Me by Joyner Lucas & Jelly Roll, has a good shot at winning its category. It’s so fun to see my friends from Delaware succeeding in their careers in this way – Mike and I always dreamed about getting out of our bank-heavy town in favor of working in creative fields, so I’m ultra proud to see his work on this massive stage!!! Drop him a vote (or 10) here, if you have a minute. Go Mikey:)

Thanks for stopping by and see ya tomorrow! xx
