Wine Country Gains Las Vegas, While Pasco and Reno Connect to Los Angeles
For Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Alaska is adding twice-daily service from Reno, Nevada, and once-per-day service to and from Pasco, Washington. Both routes will be operated with the Embraer E175 regional jet. With the addition, Alaska claims they offer “The most daily flights to West Coast destinations” out of the major Southern California airport.
Out of Las Vegas, the airline is now offering direct flights from southern Nevada to both San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Santa Rosa, California. The Santa Rosa flight will serve not only as a direct stop to the tourist capital, but also offer connections to Mexico. For San Diego, Las Vegas is the 39th direct destination out of the airport.
“Travel demand continues to be strong, and we are excited to provide our guests with more options for their next business trip or autumn getaway,” Kirsten Marine, vice president of revenue management and network planning at Alaska, said in a statement. “With the addition of these new nonstop routes, we also continue to strengthen our presence throughout the state of California and connect Pacific Northwest communities with our broader network.”
Finally, the airline will also reconnect Portland International Airport (PDX) with the southeast. Alaska will offer once-daily service between Portland and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), operated aboard the Boeing 737-900.
