A biopic about Anthony Bourdain is in the works at A24, with Dominic Sessa reportedly in line to play the celebrated chef, author, and documentarian.
Matt Johnson, who recently helmed BlackBerry, will direct the film from a script written by Todd Bartels and Lou Howe. A24 will produce alongside Star Thrower Entertainment.
Sessa is coming off a breakout performance in The Holdovers, for which he received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and a Critics Choice Award for Best Young Performer. The Cherry Hill, New Jersey native will next be seen in Now You See Me 3.
Bourdain’s memoir, Kitchen Confidential, was previously adapted into a television series in 2005, with Bradley Cooper playing a character inspired by Bourdain.
In 2012, Bourdan’s life was the subject of the documentary film Roadrunner.
