In the wake of his dismissal from the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR), Ewome Eko John, better known as Moja Moja, has taken to social media to fire back with explosive allegations.

In a video circulating widely on various platforms, Moja Moja directly addresses President Paul Biya, claiming that his fate is tied to his refusal to participate in a plot to overthrow the head of state.

In the 3-minute-51-second video, Moja Moja accuses certain colonels within the BIR of approaching him on two separate occasions, with proposals to join them in a scheme aimed at unseating President Biya.

“Some colonels of the BIR asked me two years ago to join them to overthrow you, but I refused,” Moja Moja alleges in the video.

He further asserts that just three weeks prior to the release of the video, similar attempts were made to enlist him into the purported coup plot.

“I refused, telling them the ballot box is the only way of removing a leader not through war.”

“In my next video, I will publish their names,” he adds implying that he intends to expose those allegedly behind the conspiracy to topple the government.

The emergence of Moja Moja’s video comes shortly after the announcement of his dismissal from the BIR.

As the allegations reverberate across social media platforms, they raise questions about internal divisions within the military and the broader political landscape in Cameroon.__READ THE FULL ARTICLE
