Ayogu Eze, the Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has reportedly passed away.

Sources close to the family have confirmed to Daily Post that Senator Eze died at a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory after battling a prolonged illness. The former Senate spokesman had been unwell for some time and was unable to attend his child’s wedding ceremony in Lagos earlier this year.

Eze was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and served in various capacities within the party. In 2018, he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ran for the governorship of Enugu State in the 2019 general elections. CONTINUE READING
