After an “overwhelming” past few weeks, Chappell Roan has pulled out of scheduled weekend appearances at All Things Go Music Festival in New York and Washington, DC. In a statement posted on her Instagram Story on Friday, the fast-rising star announced she’s “unable to perform” and needs to “prioritize my health.”

“I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform,” Roan wrote. “Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it. I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health.”

She continued, “I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon.”

Roan had been slated to take the stage at the inaugural New York edition of All Things Go on Saturday (September 28th) before heading down to DC on Sunday.

All Things Go shared a statement supporting Roan’s decision, saying while they’re “heartbroken” she won’t be performing, “it’s important to remember that health and well-being always comes first.”

“All Things Go strongly supports artists prioritizing their well-being and we ask our community to rally around Chappell Roan with love and understanding,” the organizers added. “Let’s continue to show the world that music fans support not just the art, but the artists themselves.”

No replacements have been named as of publishing.

The cancellation comes just days after Roan revealed she was diagnosed with severe depression. Earlier this week, she also made headlines for “out of context” election comments, which she clarified by saying she was voting for — but not endorsing — Kamala Harris.

Last month, Roan took a stand against the “creepy behavior” of certain fans and issued a statement about the normalization of “predatory behavior.”
