Flyers collecting Choice Privileges points can now transfer them to Avios and use them for flights aboard IAG’s airlines.

Choice Privileges now has a new transfer partner in International Airline Group’s Avios.

The hospitality company announced they have launched a new partnership with IAG Loyalty to allow guests to turn their hotel points into Avios.

Avios Joins 10 Airlines as Choice Hotels Transfer Partners

Under the new agreement, Choice Privileges members will be able to turn their hotel points to Avios for use aboard IAG’s airlines: Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, and Vueling. Additionally, Avios can be transferred to Qatar Airways Privilege Club for travel aboard the Middle East carrier. Every 5,000 Choice Privileges points equates to 1,000 Avios.

The hotel also notes that Avios can be used for other experiences adjacent to the airlines. Other uses for Avios include hotels, rental cars, and vacation packages.

“It is fantastic to be further expanding the rewards and opportunities available to the 65 million Choice Privileges members for their travels with this new agreement,” Nick Bosworth, director of marketing, brand and loyalty at Choice Hotels EMEA, said in a press release. “We are focused on continuing to add redemption benefits that provide further value for our members so they can redeem the points they’ve earned by staying at nearly 7,500 Choice Hotels around the world on the experiences that matter to them.”

With Avios joining up with Choice, they become the 11th airline partner for the hotelier. Other airline transfer partners include Alaska Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada, and Aeromexico.
