Fort Standard’s Strata is a core collection for the brand, stretching its legs from case pieces to shelving and even tables. Modular by design, Strata’s storage and shelving units look to find harmony somewhere between beauty and utility, according to founder and designer Gregory Buntain. These are high-quality pieces that you’ll want to live among, with timeless designs meant to go the distance of a lifetime and beyond. Like all of Fort Standard’s products, Strata’s storage and shelving are made-to-order by a team at their facility in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Buntain says they always look forward to collaborating with clients on bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces that are perfectly suited to their custom space and storage needs. The best way to explore the possibilities for a personalized solution is through the interactive 3D model on each of Fort Standard’s product pages; just be sure to click the “visualize” button when experimenting with the storage options. When viewing the 3D model on mobile, there’s also an augmented reality feature, allowing users to project the designs directly into their spaces.

Popular customizations include integrated desks, file drawers, heavy-duty LP vinyl drawers, integrated power options, pull-out trays for a printer or paper shredder, and a thermal controlled fan for an A/V cabinet. Choose from sliding doors, hinged doors, drawers, and open shelving for the storage’s interfacing. Perforated and non-perforated steel panels are available in a range of powder-coated colors, as well as metallic finishes and patinas, including mottled brass, mottled nickel, blackened steel, oil-rubbed bronze, vintage brass, and polished nickel. Endless combinations are available when combining hardwood finishes, metallic structural rods, and brake-formed panels.
