Again, you get the comfort food flavors of a burrito as you eat this healthy bowl full of good stuff: wild rice (a seed not a grain), sweet potatoes, great northern beans, and a smoky-sweet tomato sauce. I also tried the Cauliflower Rice + Pesto. Although, I would never make cauliflower rice myself, I totally enjoyed this as it tastes just like pesto and risotto. Yum.

When you think of healthy frozen foods, you don’t typically think of pasta. But now you can! I tried the Zucchini + Gigante Bean Primavera. As I mentioned, the pasta bags contain two servings so I had it on a day that my teenage son was home from school early to study for exams. I figured it would be good to have an additional perspective. We both liked it! He said, “It is good to know that vegan food can taste so good!” And the other cool thing about these pasta dishes is that even though they are plant-based, you could always add some pan-seared shrimp to make it more appealing to someone who must have meat. I didn’t go that extra mile but you could. To be honest, I thought the servings looked slightly small when I served them up but they were actually more filling and satisfying than I expected. I think this is because the nutrients are packed in there.
