Toluna Influencers is a paid survey company that rewards you for participating in market research studies online. 

Paid surveys won’t make you rich, but having a little bit of extra cash in your bank account can be a nice thing.

When you work with Toluna, you’ll earn points by taking surveys. Most of the surveys translate to between $0.25 to $1 in earnings, but some of the survey options I saw available payed around $2. Of course, the exact amount you’ll earn varies based on the surveys you take. 

You will need at least 30,000 points to redeem a reward on Toluna, which translates to a $10 redemption value. 

You can also earn points by completing the following activities: 

• Completing your profile
• Participating in sponsored polls
• Inviting your friends to join Toluna
• Playing games
• Participating in contests

Additionally, you can get a 500-point welcome bonus when you sign up for the site. 

Online Community

In addition to earning points by taking surveys, you can share your opinion in community discussions. Although you won’t earn points for posting in content threads on Toluna, it can be an interesting place to swap opinions about products with others. 

Redeeming Points 

You can redeem points for the following rewards:

• PayPal: You can have the reward sent as cash via PayPal.
• Gift cards: Toluna allows you to covert your points for gift cards to a wide range of stores, including Amazon, Walmart, CVS, TJ Maxx, Kohl’s, etc. 
• Charity: You can redeem your points for a charitable act. For example, you could plant one tree in Madagascar or remove 100 grams of plastic from the ocean. Notably, the charity limits are smaller, with each of the previously mentioned acts only costing 2,000 points each.

Toluna is completely free to use. But your points will only be valid for 12 months. After the 12-month mark, the points will automatically expire. Keep this deadline in mind to avoid wasting your time.

Survey Junkie is a popular survey site. In addition to getting points for completing surveys, you can earn rewards for surfing the internet. The company has a lower payout threshold than Toluna, at $5, and you can redeem via PayPal, bank transfer, or gift card.

KashKick is another online survey platform that pays you to play games and sign up for offers. You can redeem your funds through PayPal when you hit the $10 threshold.

If you want to sign up with Toluna, you’ll need to provide your name, email address, ZIP code, and gender. You’ll also need to confirm your email to activate your account. It only took me two minutes to complete the signup process.

You must be at least 16 years old to work with Toluna. Also, you must be a resident of one of the 50+ countries that Toluna works with. 

Toluna gives you the option to receive payouts via PayPal, which is a secure way to receive funds.

It’s very unlikely that you’ll earn more than a few dollars per month through the platform. But if you have downtime, like sitting on a commuter train or waiting for a doctor’s appointment, this could be a good way to fill your time and tap into some rewards.
