Tottenham Hotspur have announced the release of four high-profile first-team players: Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Japhet Tanganga, and Ryan Sessegnon.

All four will depart when their contracts expire on June 30, according to a club statement.

Dier and Perisic spent the second half of last season on loan, with Dier at Bayern Munich and Perisic at Hajduk Split.

Both loan moves are set to be made permanent this summer.

Tanganga had loan spells at FC Augsburg and Millwall, while Sessegnon, who signed for £25 million from Fulham, missed most of the season due to injury.

Tottenham expressed gratitude in their statement saying: “We can confirm the departures of Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier, and Ivan Perisic following the conclusion of their contracts.

“We thank them for their service to the Club and wish them all the best for the future.”

Eric Dier, who made 365 appearances and scored 13 goals for Spurs, will join former teammate Harry Kane at Bayern Munich.

Dier was a key figure in Tottenham’s Champions League final qualification in 2019.

Meanwhile, Ryan Sessegnon, who joined in 2021 and made 57 appearances, struggled with injuries throughout his tenure.

He posted a heartfelt farewell on Instagram, stating, “Spurs, thank you. I have met some very special people along the way.

“Unfortunately, things didn’t work out the way I or the club wanted.”

Additionally, development squad players Billy Heaps and Charlie Sayers, Under-18s Kieran Morgan and Han Willhoft-King, are also leaving.

Spurs thanked them for their hard work and dedication to the academy and wished them well.
