Congratulations to Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk, who have welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk.

Ronin was born on September 17th, 2024. “Welcome to the world, most beautiful son. We love you more than anything,” Frances wrote in an Instagram post, sharing images of Ronin.

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, and Riley Hawk, son of Tony Hawk and Cindy Dunbar, married in October 2023 in a ceremony officiated by Frances’ godfather, Michael Stipe of R.E.M.

While primarily a visual artist and model, Frances has released several of her own original songs via social media over the last several years. However, she has yet to officially release any material.

Hawk, following in his father’s footsteps, is a professional skateboarder. He also fronts the punk-metal band Warish, who released their most recent album, Next to Pay, in April 2021.
