Honeydew Boba is a sweet bubble tea recipe made with honeydew melon, matcha powder, milk, water and boba pearls. It’s refreshing, delicious and super easy to make at home!
I will lightly sweeten this honeydew boba recipe with a little bit of raw honey, but it’s optional as the drink is already naturally sweet from the fruit.

Ingredients
Directions
Prepare the boba pearls and allow them to cool before use.
Cut up the honeydew melon, removing the seeds and rind. You likely won’t need the entire melon for this recipe unless you are making multiple servings, so save the rest of the melon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for snacking.
In a blender, combine the honeydew melon pieces, milk, water, matcha powder and honey (if using). Blend until smooth.
In a glass, add the boba pearls and ice. Then pour the honeydew mixture over the ice. Enjoy cold.
Tips for Making
- You’ll want to serve this, and any boba tea drink, with a boba straw. Otherwise, you can’t easily consume the tapioca pearls along with your drink. A standard size draw is too small.
- While the matcha powder is an ingredient I always use in this recipe, you can omit it if you are avoiding caffeine or can’t find it.
- If you want to swap the honeydew melon for cantaloupe or watermelon, you easily can. Of course, it will change the color and flavor of this drink, but it will still be fruity and delicious.
