Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has stated that his administration has refrained from acquiring any loans since he took office on November 27, 2022.

Speaking at the second “Ipade Imole” forum in Ilesa, Adeleke emphasized his commitment to governing with available resources and not adding to the state’s liabilities.

“We have not borrowed a single kobo in any of our governance activities,” Adeleke declared. “This aligns with our pledge to manage the inherited liabilities and operate within our means.”

He dismissed claims of borrowing as “lies.”

Highlighting his administration’s achievements, Adeleke noted the repositioning of the mining sector and the establishment of a task force to combat illegal mining.

In healthcare, he said over 100 Primary Health Care Centres had been renovated and upgraded, while 50,000 individuals had benefited from the “Imole” medical outreach. Additionally, 29,000 pensioners were enrolled in the State Health Insurance Scheme.

On infrastructure, Adeleke outlined the construction of flyover bridges and road dualizations across the state. He also mentioned initiatives in agriculture, women’s development, youth development, and creative industries.
