He made it his mission to get the legendary United boss’s name on it — and pounced when Sir Alex visited the pharmacy he works at in January.

Ali said: “I can’t believe it. It’s like a dream come true.

“I only had the idea to try and get it signed a few months ago when another Game Boy collector joked about it online.

“I thought it was an impossible task but somehow had faith I could one day achieve it.

“Fast-forward three weeks later and who do I see walking past my workplace – Sir Alex Ferguson himself!

“It was a surreal moment. I ran over and told him it was an absolute honour to meet him.

“He was so nice and agreed to sign the Game Boy, and even posed for a selfie.

“He said ‘it’s nice to meet you, mate. See you around’.

“I get goosebumps just thinking about it.”

He has had an offer of £30,000 from Japan for the Nintendo console, which cost £60.
