In ruthless fashion, the Red Devils want to drum up funds and refresh their squad during what’ll be part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first transfer window calling the shots. United are willing to listen to offers for almost every single member of their squad – even the likes of Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes….CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>

But with their departures unlikely, especially after Erik ten Hag got the go-ahead to remain in charge, a number of fringe players are still at real risk of being cut. Ratcliffe and his fellow United chiefs want to use their sales to bring in new signings, with midfield an area of concern and resulting in links to West Ham’s Edson Alvarez.

Here’s a round-up of the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.

West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez has broken his silence after being linked with a move to Manchester United. The Mexico international worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax, winning the Eredivisie title twice in their three seasons together before Ten Hag moved to United in 2022.

Alvarez, 26, is currently preparing for the Copa America and when asked about links with a move to Old Trafford, he replied: “I can only tell you that I’m focused on what I have to do.

“I know that the Copa America is a very important tournament where the eyes of the world are basically here. Later there will be time to see what there is or what there isn’t.”

Liverpool are in the mix to sign soon-to-be free agent Adrien Rabiot, who’s been heavily linked with a move Manchester United in the past. Erik ten Hag’s first transfer window even saw ex-transfer chief John Murtough fly out to Turin in the summer of 2022 but failed to strike a deal over contract terms after agreeing a fee with Juventus.

Rabiot, 29, is out of contract the end of this month and even though cash-strapped Juve want to keep him, other clubs such as Liverpool and Real Madrid are preparing offers, Sportitalia claim. The left-footed midfielder has so far been a starter for France at Euro 2024.

‘Great progress’ has been made in a potential deal for Manchester United to sell to Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Turkish giants Galatasaray. According to beIN Sports, Gala chiefs plan to offer the 26-year-old right-back, whose deal at Old Trafford expires in 2025, a four-year contract.

The move would then hinge on Wan-Bissaka’s decision. Galatasaray do have alternatives, though, namely Burnley defender Lorenz Assignon and and Paris Saint-Germain’s Nordi Mukiele.
