Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown) and Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) are the latest actors to have signed on to the crime thriller Caught Stealing from director Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, Black Swan, The Whale). Details as to the roles they’re playing are under wraps, but they join previously announced cast members Austin Butler, in the lead role, Zoë Kravitz, Regina King, and Will Brill.

Based on the books by Charlie Huston, who adapted the screenplay, Caught Stealing follows Hank Thompson (Butler), a burned-out former baseball player, as he’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ’90s NYC.

The film has not yet set a release date, but it should be headed into production soon. Stay tuned for updates.
