Leicester City’s return to the Premier League is now official, following Leeds United’s humiliating defeat to Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

QPR thrashed Leeds 4-0, courtesy of goals from Ilias Chair, Lucas Andersen, Lyndon Dykes, and Sam Field.

The clash which marked Leeds most woeful defeat since their Premier League relegation, propelled Nigerian defense midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and his teammates back to the English top-flight.

Despite Leicester’s recent dip in form, they had been front-runners for the Sky Bet Championship, and even though they end up not clinching the title, their return to the top flight is now guaranteed.

Leicester’s promotion comes as a timely distraction from their off-field issues, including financial investigations into breaching Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

The ongoing scrutiny may hand the Foxes points deduction in the Premier League next season.
