BRIGHTON are searching for a new manager with Kieran McKenna the early favourite to replace Roberto De Zerbi.

That’s according to bookmakers talkSPORT BET, who’ve priced Ipswich Town’s highly-rated McKenna at 6/4 to swap Portman Road for the Amex Stadium this summer.

McKenna, 38, is in high demand having masterminded Ipswich’s astonishing back-to-back promotions to the Premier League from League One.

But with the Tractor Boys back in the English top flight for the first time in 22 years, it’s unclear whether McKenna would be prepared to jump ship.

There’s also another obstacle in Brighton’s way with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly showing interest in the Northern Irishman.

Francesco Farioli is next in the betting at 4/1.

The Nice manager, 35, enjoyed a fairly productive debut season in Ligue 1 by guiding his squad to fifth and securing Europa League qualification.

The Italian has an attacking philosophy and his work hasn’t gone unnoticed with Dutch heavyweights Ajax also eager to bring him to the Johan Cruyff Arena.

There’s a significant jump to the remaining contenders with Southampton’s Russell Martin available at 10/1, although his future would likely depend on the outcome of Sunday’s Championship play-off final.

Liam Rosenior and Graham Potter are locked together at 14/1, ahead of Will Still at 20/1.

De Zerbi, 44, joined the Seagulls in September 2022 on a four-year deal.

The Italian guided his side to a sixth-placed finish last season, which ranks as the club’s highest ever top-flight finish securing European qualification for the first time in their history.

The Seagulls finished 11th this campaign, and it was announced that the two parties had “mutually agreed” that De Zerbi will depart.
