A Nigerian lady, who nearly dropped out in the first semester, is being lauded for her achievement as she graduates from the University of Columbia, earning an award in the process.

Imade Iyamu, a Nigerian business student in the USA, faced the possibility of dropping out in her initial semester. However, she has since achieved remarkable success, winning the 2023 Tax Award at Columbia University in New York.

As she wraps up her final exams, Imade looks forward to graduating this week, surrounded by her supportive family.

Sharing the good news on her X page, she wrote: “Finished my last exam & graduating this week. My heart is at peace, my mind is at rest. My family who i love are around me. I should write something about the entire MBA experience. Graduating with an academic award. Not bad for someone that wanted to drop out after first term 😅”
