The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced that it has addressed the logistical challenges that caused fuel scarcity in certain parts of the country.

NNPC Ltd. spokesperson Olufemi Soneye stated that the fuel supply situation has been resolved and urged Nigerians to refrain from panic buying. He emphasized that there is sufficient fuel available in the country.

Soneye clarified that fuel prices remain unchanged. Motorists in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had expressed concerns over long queues at fuel stations due to the scarcity.

Independent marketers are selling fuel between N680 and N800 per liter, while NNPC Ltd. outlets maintain the official pump price of N617 per liter. Black marketers are also exploiting the situation, selling fuel for over N1,000 per liter.

Motorists have lamented the inconsistency and high cost of fuel in the country and have appealed to the Federal Government for urgent intervention. CONTINUE READING
