Alleged Fraudulent Activities:
Edu’s suspension stemmed from allegations of attempting to divert funds through a private account and using government resources for personal travel. An investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) remains ongoing.
Lack of Communication:
Efforts to reach Edu and EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale for comment have been unsuccessful. The current status of the investigation is unknown.
Conclusion:
The ministry strongly condemns Edu’s actions and reiterates that she remains suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. The use of official letterhead while under suspension is considered a serious offense and will be dealt with accordingly.
