A senior Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) official has died while testifying before the house committee at the National Assembly complex on Tuesday.

This was confirmed in a statement released by the House of Representatives’ Spokesman and Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Rep. Akin Rotimi, Jr.

According to the statement, the official passed away during an engagement with a House Committee at around 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

The statement revealed that the official developed sudden health complications during the meeting, and despite prompt medical attention from first responders and the National Assembly Clinic, he sadly succumbed to his condition….[CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING▶▶]

“Out of respect for the family, the official’s name will not be disclosed at this time,” the statement said.

The House of Representatives has extended its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
