Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola further solidifies her legacy as one of today’s foremost designers with her latest furniture collection created in collaboration with CIMENTO, a Venice-based brand known for its innovations in surface design. Unveiled at Salone del Mobile, this collection spans four unique product lines that transform CIMENTO’s distinctive materials into modern furniture and accessories. Urquiola’s designs blend playful shapes, vibrant colors, and raw finishes, showcasing the material’s versatility while highlighting her signature touch of elegance and craftsmanship.

Assorted modern furniture pieces, including shelves, tables, and a chair, with geometric designs and multicolored segmented legs

The Alberoni line captivates with its contrast between colorful, layered columns and sleek, rectilinear forms. The multi-colored layers, reminiscent of sedimentary rocks found in the earth’s geology, bring a natural, earthy aesthetic to a side table, coffee table, stool, and bookcase in this series.

In contrast, the Lazzaro features more fluid, organic shapes. Comprising a dining table, coffee table, side table, chair, and stool, this line has a raw, unpolished feel, with rough surfaces adding tactile interest. Soft curves and subtle color gradations emphasize the connections where surfaces meet, bringing attention to the sculptural nature of each piece.

Bridging these styles, the Zaccaria line offers a balanced mix of texture, color variation, and angular form, creating a multi-sensory experience. Brutalist in inspiration, the vertical sides are marked by striped finishes, while smooth yet textured surfaces define the horizontal planes. Closer inspections reveal the layers of spray-painted colors that make each piece that much more visually interesting. Zaccaria includes a dining table, coffee table, side table, stool, mirror, and console, forming a cohesive, striking series.

To complement these lines, CIMENTO introduces its first collection of objects inspired by furniture, the Guglie vases. These architectural pieces subtly echo the color and design elements of the larger furniture collection, adding a perfect finishing touch.
