Earlier this month, Queens of the Stone Age canceled a handful of European dates as frontman Josh Homme was rushed to the United States for emergency surgery. Now, the band has called off even more European bookings, so that Homme can remain under medical care.

The announcement came via an Instagram post on Friday, explaining that “it is under doctors’ orders that Josh Homme remain in their care in the United States,” with a list of the European festivals the band has to pull out of. “The Homme family and QOTSA are so grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and kind understanding during this time,” the post concludes. As for QOTSA, Homme’s exact medical condition is unknown at this time, but he did reveal last year that after he was diagnosed with cancer in 2022, he had a successful surgery to remove it.

Now, the band’s European dates are off the table, but they will still bring their “The End Is Nero” tour to the United States for a handful of dates this September, including stops in Boston, Chicago, Memphis, and more cities. Grab tickets to their upcoming tour dates here.
