The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has strongly condemned Emeka Woke, former Chief of Staff to ex-Governor Nyesom Wike, for his recent criticism of the current administration.

Woke had criticized the Simplified Movement’s thanksgiving rally following Governor Siminialayi Fubara’s Supreme Court victory, calling it a sign of a “clueless administration.”

Reacting to Woke’s remarks, PDP spokesperson Sydney Tambari Gbara accused him of being uncomfortable within the government but refusing to resign. Gbara highlighted that Woke had initially resigned but was reinstated after a peace deal.

Gbara emphasized that Woke’s public criticism violates his oath of office and demonstrates his lack of character and integrity. He questioned Woke’s qualifications to hold public office.

Gbara further argued that Woke’s actions are counterproductive and inimical to the government’s objectives. He pointed out that Governor Fubara’s simplified governance approach aims to benefit the people of Rivers State and cannot include retrogressive elements.

Gbara urged Woke to resign immediately and refrain from further public criticism as a cabinet member. He advised Rivers people to ignore Woke’s remarks and support Governor Fubara’s efforts to empower the youth. CONTINUE READING
