Murjanatu Zubairu, a 400-level female student from the University of Abuja, has been found deceased after being reported missing.

Her uncle, Alhaji Zubairu Jibrin Yewuti, informed Daily Trust of her disappearance on April 28, 2024. Zubairu stated that the Arts Education student had left her Piwoyi residence on April 26 for school but had not been contacted since.

“Her parents called me to inquire if she had visited me, but their attempts to reach her by phone had failed,” said Zubairu. “I confirmed that she had not been to my house and also tried her phone, but it was turned off.”

On April 29, family member Usman Garba Fodio announced on Facebook that Murjanatu had been found dead. Details surrounding her demise remain unclear, but sources indicate she was involved in a motor accident after leaving school on April 26.

The University of Abuja and authorities are currently investigating the incident. CONTINUE READING
