A video has surfaced on social media depicting supporters of former governor Yahaya Bello performing rituals allegedly aimed at preventing his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Imran Muhammad, a user who shared the video online, claimed that the rituals were conducted to shield Bello from prosecution. The video shows the supporters chanting in the Igbira language.

Bello, who left office on January 27, faces 19 counts of money laundering before the Federal High Court in Abuja. The EFCC has accused him, his nephew Ali Bello, Dauda Suleiman, and Abdulsalam Hudu (currently at large) of conspiring to misappropriate N80 billion (N80, 246,470, 088.88).
