Taylor Swift appeared to respond to Dave Grohl’s recent comments in which he subtly took a dig at the singer by implying that she didn’t perform live.
After receiving a standing ovation early on during her concert at Wembley Stadium on Sunday night, Swift made a point to thank her band by noting that they were going to “be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.”

“They deserve this so much,” Swift continued. “And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.”
As Foo Fighters performed adjacent to Swift in London on Saturday night, Grohl seemed to take a swipe at Swift. “We like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying,” the Foo Fighters frontman quipped. “You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place.”
While there’s no disputing that Swift sings live, like most pop performers staging a major and highly choreographed production, she also undoubtedly plays along to a backing track. The whole thing seems rather silly, and is perhaps being overblown, but it may also tie back to an incident from earlier this year in which Grohl’s daughter, Violet, was harassed on social media by Swift’s fans after she criticized the singer for flying private.
Elsewhere during Sunday’s “Eras Tour” show at Wembley, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, made a surprise on-stage appearance during the intro section to “I Can Do with a Broken Heart.”
Meanwhile, during Saturday’s “Eras Tour” show at Wembley, Swift and Paramore’s Hayley Williams teamed up to perform “Castles Crumbling” live for the first time.
