Damien Leone’s Terrifier 3 recently made its world premiere debut at Fantastic Fest, and as you’ll see, it left the audience in shock.

The first reactions have been shared on social media and they just gush over how absolutely vile, evil, disgusting, gory, twisted, and sickening it is.

Art the Clown is out on a mission to brutally kill during the Christmas season. This next chapter of the story is set five years after the events of Terrifier 2. Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is set to unleash another round of chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.

Read through some of the reactions below and let us know if you’re excited about this bloody gore fest!

Germain Lussier: “Terrifier 3 was, without question, the most disgusting, gory, vile thing I’ve ever seen. I kind of enjoyed it?”

Fangoria editor-in-chief Phil Nobile Jr.: “Terrifier 3 just might be the goriest movie to ever grace a multiplex screen. David Howard Thornton having a blast, funniest he’s ever been as Art; Lauren LaVera put through the wringer. Possibly the most physically put-upon final girl since Marilyn Burns.”

Cob: “Terrifier 3 blew the damn roof off. Gonzo slasher horror cranked up to 11. Bursting with some of the most fantastically diabolical kills ever put to screen (holy shit). Shower scene will go down in history. We have a new contender for best horror movie of the year.”

Critics Choice Association member Preston Barta: “Well, holy fuck, Damien Leone just painted his Sistine Chapel on the screen with blood and guts. Lauren LaVera slays.”

Matthew Jackson: “Terrifier 3 is my favorite of the series so far. A showcase of gore and a maturation of Leone’s ability to shift from impish to emotional in an instant. Harrowing and hilarious at the same time.”

InSense Film contributor Alex Papaioannou: “Terrifier 3 is some absolutely depraved sicko shit (complimentary). The movie looks AMAZING (2 split diopters!), Lauren LaVera has an all-timer final girl sequence, and David Howard Thornton absolutely rocks as Art the Clown once again. More lore!!!”

Discussing Film critic James Preston Poole: “Terrifier 3 is truly evil. And I mean that in the best possible way. Grindhouse beyond Grindhouse. Truly sickening practical effects mixed with a lore that is getting more and more intricate. I don’t know how Damien Leone tops this. Lauren LaVera THEE final girl.”

Belle de Gore: “You silly fools have no idea what is waiting for you in Terrifier 3. You wouldn’t believe what these eyes have seen.”

Jacob Harper: “WOW, if you thought the Terrifier team couldn’t go further after part two, you’d be dead wrong. Bloody and blasphemous in all the right ways.”

Anthony Papetti: “A sicko Christmas blood bath! Leone brings his twisted humor while still harboring a darknesses that digs deeper into Art the Clown’s lore. Lauren LaVera is outstanding growing her already traumatic broken role. David Howard Thorton’s vaudeville performance is perfect.”

Noah Levine: “Terrifier 3 goes there and then goes 54 steps further. An absolute splatter fest of unseen proportions. Shower scene that will go down in history. Lauren LaVera is such a great lead. Lots of twisted and neat toe dips into the lore, getting very Hellraiser up in here. Damn.”

Julian Singleton: “Christmas is solidified as the goriest time of the year—as is Lauren LaVera’s rep as a final girl for the ages. No one’s safe from Art the Clown’s chaos. Tightly focused and gnarlier than others in the series—with an eye towards a brewing holy war?”

Spencer Charnas: “Holy… Shit. Nothing will prepare you for the beautiful brutality that I just witnessed on screen. Terrifier 3 is one of the most vicious films I’ve seen in years. I already wanna see it again.”

Slash Film‘s review by Jacob Hall says: “Many horror movies aim to be transgressive, to shock and disgust, but here’s one that actually manages to pull it off.

“It pushes your buttons with such deadly force that your inner machinery breaks –– you cannot believe what you’re seeing. One can never accuse this movie, or this franchise, of taking the easy path or softening its edges to make for a safer, more palatable experience.

“Here’s a horror movie that declares itself to be dangerous, and actually delivers on the promise.”

Returning cast includes Lauren LaVera (Sienna), Samantha Scaffidi (Victoria Heyes), Elliot Fullam (Jonathan Shaw) and AEW superstar Chris Jericho (Burke), with Daniel Roebuck set to debut as Santa Claus.

Makeup effects legend Tom SaviniJason Patric, Antonella Rose, Krsy Fox, Clint Howard, and Jon Abrahams also appear.
