Lukman cited the party’s recent performance in elections as evidence of declining public confidence. He attributed this to the failure of APC leadership to address critical issues and foster unity within the party. “What I see President Asiwaju doing and APC doing is to erode the basis of confidence of the electorate,” Lukman said.
He also raised concerns about the integrity of past elections and the potential for future electoral manipulation. According to Lukman, unless the APC makes a meaningful effort to rebuild trust and promote accountable leadership, its chances in 2027 remain uncertain.
