Operation Whirl Stroke troops conducted a raid on a bandit hideout in Vingir village, Gbise ward, Katsina-Ala Local Council, Benue State. After a fierce gun battle, the troops captured one bandit identified as Dogo Manu, while others escaped with gunshot wounds.

The raid was initiated based on intelligence about a notorious bandit hideout terrorizing the area. Troops from Kufai Ahmadu and Kasuwan Haske engaged the bandits, forcing them to withdraw into the bushes.

During the pursuit, troops captured Manu, who was found in possession of an AK47 rifle.

In a separate incident, troops deployed in Fikyu, Taraba State, repelled an attack by bandits in Pukun. The bandits were repelled and forced to retreat, leaving behind ammunition that was recovered by the troops. CONTINUE READING
