Tyler the Creator reunited with fellow Odd Future member, Earl Sweatshirt, during his headlining performance at weekend two of Coachella 2024.

Joining Tyler for renditions of “AssMilk” (its first performance since 2014) and “Rusty,” Earl’s appearance marked the highlight of an otherwise guest-less set (compared to last week’s appearances of Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Charlie Wilson, and Kali Uchis). Still, the joy the two expressed at sharing a stage again came across.

Calling Earl his “brother,” Tyler said, “I love this guy so fucking much.” After “Rusty,” the two embraced with a hug, and Earl turned to face Tyler’s stunning, desert-landscape-themed stage, saying “Look at the biggest show on Earth!” Watch videos of the performances below.

Elsewhere in his set, Tyler made allusions to another former collaborator: Frank Ocean. During the intro to the two’s duet, “She,” Tyler told the crowd to “sing the song” if they knew it, because Ocean was “not coming out.”

Perhaps referencing Ocean’s ill-fated headlining booking at Coachella 2023, Tyler continued, “We don’t know where that n**** is.” See a clip of the moment below.
