Amen Dunes is releasing his new album, Death Jokes, on Friday, May 10. He’s now shared the LP’s fourth single, “Rugby Child.” Watch its music video, directed by Steven Brahms, below.

“Rugby Child” follows “Purple Land,” “Boys,” and “Round the World,” and the latter two tracks also arrived with Brahms-directed visuals. In a statement about “Rugby Child,” Amen Dunes’ Damon McMahon said, “The song was written in April 2020, and flips between memories of touring, and that present moment of spring. A musician from New York I had known had just overdosed. He wasn’t named Annie, but she stands in for him out of respect.”

Amen Dunes is performing at Pitchfork Music Festival on Friday, July 19.
